Chewy

Chewy is a 9 year old neutered terrier mix. His owner is looking for a new home for him due to a change in housing. His owner says the following about Chewy:
Chewy does not do well with other dogs and may exhibit some aggression towards an unfamiliar animal. He was raised with another dog and they get along fine with a little problems if at all. He does not do well off a leash and may run away, but always returns after a sprint. I would not recommend him unsupervised around very small children until they have adjusted to each other. He is fine with visitors. However, I recommend him supervised with very young children. He is very open to being petted but also has a lonesome spirit. He sleeps a lot and loves treats. He has been groomed in the past. he is somewhat potty trained, but needs some work on this issue. With the right person who has the time, Chewy would make a fine companion. I would recommend this dog for someone who has the extra time to train him. He sleeps a lot but also does enjoy the outdoors and occasional walk. He does not like water, but can be given a bath. He will bark an new visitors briefly, until he sniffs them, then he's ok.
