Cymbal is a joyful, affectionate 10-month-old who has been waiting for his forever family to arrive.At 53 pounds, he's the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and loving lap dog.From the moment Cymbal hops into the car, his excitement is contagious. He loads easily and happily settles in for the ride, whether as your co-pilot up front or relaxing in the back with a toy. While he's still learning to “wait” before exiting (puppy enthusiasm!), he already knows “sit” and is an eager student. Plus, he's very treat-motivated.He shows no resource guarding with food or toys, and is comfortable being handled all over, including paws, tail, and belly. He appears friendly and curious with other dogs. Out and about, Cymbal truly shines. He loved his outing to Pet Food Express, happily greeting everyone he met and politely sitting for attention. He hopped right into a bath basin without hesitation and walked past people and children of all ages with ease, greeting everyone with love and a wagging tailHe navigated busy environments like Safeway and Starbucks with confidence, calmly handling automatic doors, air curtains, crowds, and even holiday foot traffic. He was brave in the bathroom—unfazed by loud toilets, running water, or automatic dispensers.Cymbal is almost potty-trained. He had only one accident during his five hours out of the shelter. With consistency in a home environment, he will become potty-trained quickly.Best of all, Cymbal is a total lovebug. He adores cuddling, sitting in your lap, being held, or simply being close to his person. He gives kisses freely and showers affection like a little cupid, making it impossible not to fall for him.JANUARY UPDATE ON A DAY OUT:Cymbal is still bursting with energy leaving his kennel, but once he's out, he is calm and collected.He loads easily into the car and is well-behaved for the ride.He wiggles a lot when you try to put on his harness, but doesn't mind his “Adopt Me” vest.He's good on a leash.He enjoyed meeting kids and playing, and is learning to keep all four feet on the ground.He loves his stuffed toy!Check out the cute photos below.___________Cymbal is sweet, social, eager to learn, and full of love—everything you could want in a young dog.
