Meet Rex – A Smart, Loyal Companion Looking for the Right Home Rex is an approximately 2–3-year-old male German Shepherd mix who is now searching for a fresh start and a family committed to helping him thrive. After completing his stray hold without being reclaimed, Rex is now available for adoption and ready to find a home that understands his needs and will provide structure, patience, and consistency. Rex will do best with an experienced dog owner who understands working breeds and can provide clear guidance and routine. For his comfort and success, he is seeking a home without children under 16 years old. At this time, we are unsure how Rex will do with other dogs. If there is already a dog in the home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure everyone gets along well. Rex is required to return to our facility on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, for his neuter surgery and rabies vaccination. This appointment is non-negotiable, is included in the adoption contract, and is required in accordance with Texas state law.
