About This Dog
What WeRescue Scout knows about ATHENA #10
Athena thrives with a patient, calm owner who can give her time to build trust and can be the only pet in the home. She'd do best in a stable environment where she won't face a lot of commotion or pressure to warm up to strangers quickly.
- Not suitable for multi-pet homes; should be only pet
- Initially reactive to new people and entry situations; requires patient introduction
- Fearful of men and new people; needs experienced, gentle handling to continue building trust

About ATHENA #10
Underdog Rescue of Arizona, LLC
RescueWe are a group of volunteers who have individually worked with many other rescues prior to starting Underdog Rescue. We are an all breed rescue, and have a soft spot for bully breeds, medical cases and fear cases. We pull primarily from the County Shelter's daily Euthanasia list and place animals in our approved foster homes. We then network these homeless pets in order to rehome them into loving families. We require all adoption applicants to fill our our adoption application, receive a home visit, pay our adoption/rehoming fee and sign our legal adoption contract. All animals are fully vaccinated and altered prior to adoption being finalized. We do a standard 2 week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period, in which the applicant has the opportunity to be sure the animal is a good fit for their home/family.
