Meet Caddy, a quiet sweetheart with a gentle spirit and a whole lot of love to give. She may start out a little shy, but once she feels safe, her affectionate side shines through. Caddy enjoys a mix of dry food throughout the day and a little wet food as a treat, but she’s not picky and is happy to adjust to your routine. She’s also perfectly litterbox trained and a very tidy houseguest.

What makes Caddy’s journey extra special is that she’s being fostered as part of our “Cat Dorm” program, where select cats provide emotional comfort and companionship to young women in a juvenile detention center. Caddy’s calming presence helps teach empathy, patience, and responsibility to the teens who care for her -- a beautiful reminder of the impact animals can have on people and vice versa.

Caddy would do best in a calm home with someone who’s willing to give her the time and space to come out of her shell. If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow companion and love the idea of giving a cat with a meaningful story her next chapter, Caddy might be your perfect match.

All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for cats over six months to seven years is $100, kittens under six months is $150, cats eight years and over are $50 unless specified otherwise.
