Ace is a joyful, high-energy pup with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. This resilient, happy boy is ready to find a forever family that can match his enthusiasm and love for adventure.Ace is smart and eager to learn. He knows "sit" really well and is working on commands like "stay," "go," "off," and "lay down." He's fully house-trained (no accidents!) and crate trained, happily sleeping and relaxing in his crate. He thrives with structure and consistency and is already showing what an amazing dog he's becoming. This guy LOVES to move. Long walks? Yes. Backyard zoomies? Absolutely. Fetch, chase, tug-of-war? All day long. He adores playing with other dogs - especially wrestling and running - and would thrive in a home with another playful pup or an active family who enjoys outdoor fun. While he gets along great with quieter dogs, he would truly shine with an energetic canine buddy who can keep up with him.Ace has been wonderful with kids and is the sweetest dog to everyone he meets. He does get excited and sometimes jumps or gets a little mouthy in his enthusiasm (occasionally catching clothes in the process), but it's all part of his goofy, lovable charm. He's working on polishing those manners and responds well to guidance.Playful, energetic, and incredibly loving, Ace is excited to keep growing into the fantastic adult dog he's meant to be. With leadership, continued training, and plenty of outlets for his energy, he will be a loyal, adventure-ready best friend. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who will keep you active and fill your days with laughter, Ace might just be your perfect match! This pup was originally rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He was adopted 2 months ago, but surrendered back as the family felt he needed a family with dog experience. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
