Monica is a sweet, affectionate girl who truly loves being around people. Human connection is her happy place, and she thrives on gentle attention and kind words. As she continues to adjust to her new environment, she can be a bit sensitive to sudden movements or loud noises-but a calm, reassuring voice helps her feel safe and confident.Monica is very food-motivated and eager to learn, which has already helped her make great progress with potty training. She's a smart girl who wants to do well and enjoys positive reinforcement. She's also learning that her crate is a safe, cozy space. While she may need a little encouragement going in, she's making wonderful strides-recently showing a big boost in confidence by happily entering her crate with treat guidance and settling right in.She does have some food insecurity and appreciates having her own space while eating, especially around other dogs. With understanding and consistency, this is very manageable. And as a bonus? Monica has discovered that she loves the snow, which has been a joy to watch! With patience, routine, and lots of love, Monica is going to thrive in a home that gives her the reassurance she needs and the affection she adores. She's ready to keep blossoming-could she be your perfect match? Monica was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
