Chester is an absolute gem of a dog-mellow, smart, and incredibly easy to have around. He's food- and treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze, and he already knows how to sit. Even better, Chester is fully house-trained and does an amazing job going potty outside-he'll even go on cue when you say "go potty."This friendly, easygoing boy loves playing with balls but is just as happy to relax and enjoy the moment. He has a calm demeanor and never barks, making him a wonderful companion for a peaceful home.Chester has been extremely gentle and tolerant with his foster's three children. While he may occasionally jump up in excitement to greet or play, he's easily redirected and quickly settles into a sit. His sweet nature and responsiveness truly shine. If you're looking for a loving, well-mannered dog who fits seamlessly into family life, Chester is truly something special.Available to meet starting 1/3/2026!This pup was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
