Butters is as sweet as they come. After being a wonderful, devoted mama to her babies, she's officially ready for a forever home of her own.In foster care, Butters has been the very best house guest. She's house trained, quickly learned how to use the dog door, and takes pride in being a well-mannered girl. She's also very smart and eager to learn, which makes her a joy to have around.She loves her daily walks and does pretty well on leash. True to her nature as a herding breed, she may gently try to "organize" her dog friends at first - but with slow, thoughtful introductions, she has done well living with other dogs.Butters is warm, friendly, and has the sweetest smile that truly lights up a room. She's ready to trade in her mama duties for a lifetime of love, cozy naps, and happy walks with a family of her own. If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and loving companion, Butters just might be your girl.Butters was surrendered to us due to being heavily pregnant with a German Shepherd dad. She had to have a c section and had 5 beautiful babies.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
