Mindy is truly one of those dogs who makes everyone fall in love instantly. This sweet girl is potty trained, well-mannered, and wonderfully easygoing. She did great living in a home, happily coexisting with an older dog and settling in beautifully to daily routines. While she was a little hesitant about the crate at first, Mindy quickly relaxed and did just fine once inside. During the day, she was the perfect work-from-home companion-quietly napping in her dog bed or sticking close by her person. She enjoys playing with toys around the house but is just as happy being near you, soaking up companionship. One of Mindy's most endearing quirks? She likes to "walk herself" by proudly holding her own leash on neighborhood strolls-earning smiles everywhere she goes. She walks nicely on a loose lead and waits patiently to potty outside, keeping her space clean. She has been calm and quiet in her kennel (no vocalizing at all!), approaches everyone she meets with a wagging tail, and radiates pure affection. Her energy level is a comfortable medium, making her a great fit for a wide range of homes and lifestyles. In playgroups, Mindy showed excellent social skills-doing well with dogs who preferred to keep to themselves and equally thriving with more playful pups closer to her age.Simply put, Mindy is a loving, well-balanced girl with a gentle heart and the sweetest personality. She's ready to slide right into her forever home and be someone's perfect companion.Mindy was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
