Howdy Day

Howdy Day is a big, sweet, goofy puppy wrapped up in one gorgeous package. He has that lovable, happy-go-lucky personality that makes you smile daily - equal parts smart and silly.He already knows several commands and appears to be potty trained, so the foundation is there! Like many young pups, he could use a little polishing on his manners (he gets excited and may jump up to say hello), but he's bright and eager to learn. With consistency, he'll continue to blossom.Howdy actually loves his kennel - he'll put himself to bed and sleeps through the night like a champ. He does best when he has appropriate outlets for his puppy energy, so having plenty of toys, durable chews, and balls on hand is a must. If it's meant for dogs, he's ready to have fun with it!He has shown zero aggression with the two dogs in his foster home, including one very small dog who likes to boss him around - he's completely unfazed and easygoing. He was briefly introduced to cats while on leash and didn't show much interest. He could potentially live in a cat home, though a feline roommate would need to tolerate his big, boisterous zest for life.If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, slightly goofy best friend with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Howdy Day might just be your guy.Howdy Day was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
