Vixen is a total sweetheart with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She adores romping around with her foster brother and is always up for a game of fetch-she's already pretty impressive at bringing the ball back for such a young pup! Tug-of-war is another favorite, but she's also perfectly content entertaining herself with a toy or chewing on a bone.Vixen is curious about the resident cat and wants to play, showing no signs of aggression-she's just learning her manners as she grows and figures out how to be a little gentler with smaller friends. Thankfully, she isn't a very mouthy puppy, which makes her a joy to be around. One of Vixen's most endearing traits is her affection. She loves flopping into laps, putting her paws on your shoulders, and giving what feels like the sweetest little puppy hugs. After playtime, she's all about her beauty sleep-fair warning, she may groan dramatically like a teenager if woken up too early!Vixen sleeps through the night in her kennel and does well crated during the day when left alone. Like any puppy, she's still working on potty training, but she's catching on quickly and understands that outside is for potty first, then play. She's also learning basic commands, with "sit" already becoming a strong skill. With her playful personality, loving nature, and eagerness to learn, Vixen would make a wonderful addition to just about any familyVixen was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
