Meet Spirit - a sweet, tender-hearted pup with the calmest soul and the cutest little quirks. Spirit is mellow, affectionate, and happiest when she's curled up in a cozy bed with her favorite chew toys or snuggled close to her people. Her tail may wag quietly, but her love runs deep.Spirit can be a bit shy when she first meets new people or experiences new things, especially loud noises, but with patience and gentle reassurance, her affectionate personality truly blossoms. She doesn't bark, but she does have the most adorable way of "talking" to let you know when it's mealtime. One of her favorite pastimes is watching TV-especially if there are animals on the screen! She already knows sit, come, and down, walks nicely on a leash, and is incredibly gentle. Spirit is currently working on potty training and will use potty pads in the house while she continues learning that outside is the place to go.Spirit is looking for a calm, loving home that will give her the security and kindness she needs to feel safe and confident. If you're searching for a loyal, cuddly companion with a soft heart and soulful eyes, Spirit may be the perfect match for youSpirit was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
