Olive - also lovingly called Oli or Oliver - is a sweet, playful boy searching for the magic of his forever home.He has a fun, energetic side and loves to play, whether that's romping with his foster brother or having a one-on-one game session with his favorite human. Balls, tug-of-war, and a good chew bone are at the top of his favorites list. If there's a toy around, Olive is ready to make the most of it.But as much as he loves to play, his absolute favorite thing is simply being with his people. He's affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he can curl up beside you for cuddles after a day of adventures.Speaking of adventures - Olive is a great walking buddy. He does very well on leash and enjoys exploring the world one sniff at a time. He hasn't gone hiking yet, but he seems like he'd make an excellent trail companion.Olive is food motivated, which makes training both fun and effective. He loves meeting new people and other dogs, greeting them with an enthusiastic wagging tail. He has been fostered with a cat and is very curious - he may try to chase - so continued guidance and supervision around feline friends will be important.Loving, playful, affectionate, and endlessly curious, Olive is ready to bring loyalty, laughter, and just a little bit of magic to the lucky family who chooses him.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
