Silly, sweet, clumsy, and loveable ~ Toby is a well-behaved puppy who is polite and calm, especially for a boy his age. His foster siblings bring out his playfulness, and he loves to chase them and play tug of war until they are worn out and nap in the sun to rest and recharge. He's tripping over himself a lot right now; he's growing faster than his coordination can keep up with!Toby is a great house guest, and will be an amazing addition to someone's family. He likes to follow you around to see what you're up to, but is totally content finding his own corner to curl up or play with a toy. He can be vocal if he has a point he needs to get across, like that he needs to go out to potty. Right now, he is teething, so make note that shoes are fair game if they are left out on the ground! Despite a few puppy antics, he is learning a ton, has great manners, and listens well to corrections.Toby does great with other dogs and toddlers (the youngest child he has spend time with is 2). This guy will keep you laughing and make for a great companion! Toby was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
