Charlie

Charlie is a very affectionate boy who loves to cuddle and be close to the people he trusts. He has a calm, gentle personality and carries a low to medium energy level so far. He seems happiest simply being near those he cares about and soaking up quiet companionship. While toys and treats have not caught his interest yet, Charlie has shown that friendship means the world to him, especially the comfort of being around other dogs. He would truly thrive in a home with another dog or even a multidog household where he can continue building confidence and learning from his canine friends. Charlie is still learning leash confidence but does well in his kennel and already knows some basic obedience. With patience and encouragement he will continue to blossom into a wonderful companion. With his charming personality, sweet smile, and kind amber eyes filled with love and hope for a brighter future, Charlie is ready to leave shelter life behind and find the loving home he deserves. He is ready to kiss shelter life goodbye and begin the next chapter with a family who will give him the kindness and stability he has been waiting for.Charlie was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico.Meet and greets are by appointment only. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
