While she does not actively interact with them, she acknowledges their presence and will push them aside so that she can receive pats from her humans. She loves her humans!!
She would do fine as an only dog or one of many. Her foster household does not have cats so we are not sure how she will get along with cats.
Her energy is low, she is such a couch potato! She will lay with her head next to you and her eyes will look longing into yours as you pat her and show her affection. The youngest child she has been around is 10 years old, but her temperament leads me to believe that she would do fine with children over 5 who are dog savvy. .
Boo Boo is very food motivated but does not guard the resource. She does not need to be crated and does fine having free roaming privileges in her foster home. She is used to a fenced yard and would probably do best in a home with a fenced yard.
Boo Boo is an adorable grand lady that is looking for her forever home and would welcome the love and attention she so richly deserves.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Sadly, Boo Boo's owner passed away and she ended up in a rural shelter. Best Friend Pet Adoption stepped in knowing that senior dogs are rarely adopted from shelters and she was at risk. We are now trying to find a good home for her.
Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
