Meet Toshiro and Luna â the bonded pair of small breed dogs. Toshiro is a 9 year old Yorkshire Terrier. Luna is a 3 year old spayed female poodle. They came to the Shelter after their previous guardians were unable to find a place that had pet friendly housing. They have lived with children (ages 7 and 11 years old). According to their previous guardian, they liked to go for walks. Luna likes to play with toys, Toshiro.. not so much. They know Spanish cues of âsitâ and âcomeâ. While in a temporary home, Toshiro and Luna did chase some resident kitties. A home free of felines is recommended at this time. If you are looking for two pint sized cuties to complete your family â consider Toshiro and Luna. They are bonded so they are required to be adopted together.Their adoption fee has been sponsored by a good Samaritan. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
