Meet Bailey, the gray and white pittie mix. Bailey arrived at the Shelter by no fault of her own â her previous guardian was unable to continue caring for her. Bailey has a history of living with teenagers previously and did well. She does not have a lot of experience around other dogs and can be nervous around them. Bailey has a history of living outdoors primarily. We anticipate she will enjoy the perks of indoor living (soft beds and being with her people) in her next home. She may need some patience in her adoptive home while she transitions. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw!Now through February 15th, all adoption fees are reduced to $33 - come to the Shelter today to adopt your very own Valentine! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
