Meet Truffle, the black female rabbit. She came in with her bunny buddy, Bon Bon. She was shy about interacting with volunteers, but is starting to warm up as she has spent time in the shelter. She now knows she has lots of space to run and jump, and be a happy indoor bunny. Be warned that she is a true jumper and always wants to know whatâs on the other side.Truffle and Bon Bon were outdoor bunnies in their prevous home, but we recommend having them live indoors to keep them safe and healthy. These girls need a loving home who can be patient with them as they acclimate and enjoy their rambunctous energy! They have lived together before, but they are independant ladies who can go to different homes.Truffle is available for preadoption - come meet her, fall in love and take her home after her spay surgery!Truffle's adoption fee is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation's Leave No One Behind fund - a fund that draws adopter's eyes towards animals that have been waiting a little bit longer than average for the right adopters to come along and bring them home. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
