Meet Fender, the medium haired kitty. Fender is not only beautiful on the outside but quite the sweetie. She has previously lived in a home with a family, including children under 12 years old. She has been around other cats and her favorite activity was playing with them. A home with other cats may be a fit after a slow, thoughtful introduction. Fender has been indoor/outdoor previously but would be safest indoors as she is lighter colored (at risk for being targeted by predators) as well as longer haired (which is prone to collect debris from the outdoors and matting). The adoption fee is reduced to $50 for all cats, dogs and rabbits in our care. Empty the Shelters is the nationâs largest funded adoption event centered around helping homeless pets find families by making adoption affordable for prospective pet owners.Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
