Meet Bon-Bon, the black female rabbit. She came in with her bunny buddy, Truffle. She arrived a bit scared and shy, but we have given her time to get used to her safe space and she is truly living up to her sweetly inspired name. The rabbit who didnât want to leave her kennel is now excited to come out for TLC. She is mastering her binkies and is realizing she likes to the idea of snuggling up next to her human friends!Truffle and Bon Bon were outdoor bunnies in their prevous home, but we recommend having them live indoors to keep them safe and healthy. These girls need a loving home who can be patient with them as they acclimate and enjoy their rambunctous energy! They have lived together before, but they are independant ladies who can go to different homes.Bon-Bon's adoption fee is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation's Leave No One Behind fund - a fund that draws adopter's eyes towards animals that have been waiting a little bit longer than average for the right adopters to come along and bring them home. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
