About This Cat
What WeRescue Scout knows about CH - Chris
Chris is a bonded senior boy who thrives with a quiet, home-based household—ideally retirees or someone present much of the time—where he can be an affectionate lap cat and emotional anchor for his shy sister Lucy. Both cats need a single-cat or very-peaceful-cat home with no dogs, no children, and minimal visitor traffic.
- Not suitable for homes with kids, dogs, or other cats.
- Very anxious with visitors and noise; needs a calm, stable environment.
- Bonded pair—both cats must be adopted together.
- Senior cats may develop age-related medical needs; recent bloodwork is stable but ongoing monitoring advised.
WeRescue Scout summarized this from the shelter's original listing. Please contact Second Chance Companions to confirm any details before adopting.

About CH - Chris
Second Chance Companions
RescueWe are an all-volunteer organization, started in 1993 dedicated to helping animals in SW Washington and the Portland Metro area. We have a small number of foster homes that take in dogs/cats (and sometimes other small animals) and no central facility, but we also work as a referral service for private owners who are looking for homes for their pets (we do the screening for them and also provide education to try to encourage them to keep their pets, when possible). We have a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public to try to try to curb pet overpopulation. We also work with our local Meals on Wheels program to provide pet food to Meals on Wheels recipients, individuals in assisted living and senior facilities, and area food banks. When we have the funds, we also provide emergency medical assistance to individuals.
