Meet Nubbs!
Nubbs came to us as a stray in October of 2024 with a severely injured tail that unfortunately needed to be amputated. Thanks to the care of our veterinary team and the patience of our volunteers, she recovered beautifully - and her adorable little nub is how she earned her name!
When Nubbs first arrived, she was understandably timid and shy. Life outside hadn't been easy, and she needed time to learn that people could be kind. During her recovery with our volunteers, she slowly began to come out of her shell. What started as cautious curiosity soon turned into gentle requests for pets.
Before long, this shy girl revealed her true personality: sweet, affectionate, and incredibly gentle. Once she feels safe, Nubbs loves attention and will happily lean into pets - and sometimes she'll even roll over and ask for belly rubs, which is a very special honor in the cat world.
Nubbs gets along well with other cats and would likely do best in a calm home with patient adopters who will give her a little time to settle in and feel secure. Once she trusts you, she will reward you with quiet companionship and lots of soft affection.
Her tail may be shorter than most, but Nubbs has a very big heart and so much love to give.
If you're looking for a gentle, sweet companion who just needs a little time to blossom, Nubbs may be the perfect cat for you.
