Meet Tommy T!
Tommy T is a handsome, big-hearted tabby who has come a long way and is ready to find a person to call his own.
Originally part of a TNR program, Tommy came to Colony Cats when it became clear he needed more care than life outdoors could provide. After receiving the medical treatment he needed, Tommy has truly blossomed.
Now that he's feeling better, Tommy is a gentle giant with a soft side. He enjoys pets, likes being around people he trusts, and has a calm presence that makes him easy to love. He can be a little cautious at first, but once he knows you're a friend he settles in nicely and enjoys attention.
Tommy also gets along well with calm, friendly cats and has made a few kitty friends at the center. However, he would prefer a home without dogs. He
tends to be more comfortable in a quieter environment and
would do best in a calm home with a patient adopter who will give him a little time to settle in. Once he feels safe, this big tabby boy has all the makings of a loyal companion. If you're looking for a sweet, soulful cat who just needs someone to believe in him, Tommy T may be your guy.
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection. FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered.
