RV

RV is the definition of a gentle soul. With his humble personality, soft eyes, and tender heart, he’s the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart before you even realize it. Despite everything he’s been through, RV continues to greet the world with kindness, gentle tail wags, and an easygoing spirit. RV came to us after being discovered in a camper that was being towed away. Unfortunately, we were never able to locate his owner, and this sweet boy found himself starting over through no fault of his own. Even with his rough past, RV has remained incredibly loving and trusting with the people around him. This handsome guy is exceptionally well mannered and appears to be potty trained. He already knows several cues including “sit,” “wait,” “lay down,” and “shake.” RV also walks nicely on leash most of the time, though his curious nature occasionally gets the better of him and he may pull a little to investigate the world around him! Full disclaimer, he is a strong boy! While shelter life has started to weigh on him lately, RV’s true personality shines brightest in calmer environments where he can relax and simply enjoy being near his people. He’s not overly high energy and prefers the simpler things in life — peaceful walks, enrichment toys, lasting chew toys, and plenty of one-on-one affection. Spending quality time with people he trusts is easily one of his favorite things. RV has generally been friendly toward other dogs during his stay, though the stress of the shelter environment has understandably made him a bit more anxious and vocal around them recently. Because of this, we think RV would likely do best with a calm, friendly female dog companion if he were to share his home. We’re always happy to provide a dog meet-and-greet to help ensure a good fit. RV has overcome so much already, and all we want now is to see him finally get the stability, love, and comfort he deserves. He’s a truly special boy with so much heart to give, and we know the right home will absolutely fall in love with him.
