Max came to us after being dealt a rough hand in life, but despite everything heâs been through, he remains one incredibly happy, loving boy. His past may not have been easy, but weâre so excited for the bright future ahead of himâand we know the right family is going to absolutely adore him. When Max first arrived, he was very underweight. While heâs already made wonderful progress, heâs still on his healthy weight journey and would love a family committed to helping him continue to thrive. Max is social, friendly, and just a little chatty in the best way. He arrived with his friend Tracy, and the two get along wonderfully. He has not shown reactivity toward other dogs in the shelter, though he does seem to have a more confident male personality. Thoughtful introductions are always encouraged, and weâre happy to arrange dog meet-and-greets if needed! This handsome guy is smart, attentive, and eager to be with his people. He likely has potty training experience, though like any dog, heâll need time to settle in and learn a new routine. Max walks beautifully on a leash and knows cues like âsitâ and âdown.â Max truly comes alive outdoors. Whether itâs a walk, a hike, or simply soaking up fresh air, being outside is his happy placeâand heâd love a family ready to include him in their adventures. While heâs an active boy, heâs not overwhelming; regular exercise and time with his people are really all he asks for. More than anything, Max is resilient. Even after lifeâs challenges, he continues to greet the world with joy, enthusiasm, and a wagging tail. Heâs ready to leave the hard days behind and become someoneâs loyal adventure buddy for life.
