Meet Nadia

Once for Adventure, Wink Twice for Treats!

Nadia is a beautiful Shih Tzu and puppy mill survivor who is ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a loving family of her own.

Through no fault of her own, Nadia came into rescue missing one eye. Around here, we like to call our one-eyed pups "winkers," and Nadia wears the title proudly! She has adapted wonderfully and doesn't let it slow her down one bit. This happy, active little girl approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity, always eager to learn something new.

Nadia is incredibly smart and catches on quickly. She loves being with her people and enjoys having a canine companion to help show her the ropes and share in her adventures. Because of her playful nature and confidence around other dogs, a companion dog is required in her forever home.

Like many puppy mill survivors, Nadia is still learning about the world around her. She will thrive with a patient family willing to continue building her confidence and celebrating her progress. Every day brings something new for Nadia, and watching her discover life as a cherished family member is truly rewarding.

Nadia does well with house training when kept on a consistent schedule. She is still working on leash skills, so a securely fenced yard is required to keep her safe while she continues to learn.

One of Nadia's favorite hobbies? Collecting treasures! Socks seem to mysteriously disappear and reappear wherever Nadia decides they belong. It's just one of the many charming quirks that make her so special.

Nadia's adoption donation is $575. She is being fostered in North Central Ohio and is spayed, microchipped, and current on rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella, and bivalent canine influenza vaccines. She has tested heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.
