Edwin is a sweet black Shih Tzu who's all about the simple joys in life-cuddles, toys, and being close to his people. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily follow you from room to room and soak up every bit of attention, Edwin is your guy.
He has a playful side and truly enjoys the company of other dogs, especially when it's time for a little fun. That said, he may also do well as an only dog, as long as he has opportunities for social time-whether that's playdates or plenty of interaction with his people. Edwin's energy level is low to moderate, making him a great fit for a home that enjoys both relaxed downtime and a bit of light play.
Edwin does best in a home where he can enjoy plenty of companionship and time with his people. While he may take a little time to settle when left alone, he adjusts with routine and reassurance. He's happiest when included in daily life and will quickly become your loyal little sidekick, always ready to be nearby and part of whatever you're doing.
He does well with other dogs, cats, and children over 8. Edwin does well with house training when kept on a consistent schedule, though he does not currently signal when he needs to go out, so his family will need to stay attentive to his routine.
Edwin has a few simple daily care routines to help keep him feeling his best, including heart medication, a supplement, and eye drops. He handles his routine like a pro and doesn't let it slow him down one bit! With a committed family to keep him on track, Edwin will continue to thrive and be the happy, loving companion he's meant to be.

Edwin's adoption donation is $500, and he is being fostered in Central Ohio. He is fully vetted and ready for his forever home-he has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccines, including rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella. He has tested negative for heartworm and has been started on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and he has also had a dental cleaning
