Nile EGYPT is a seven-year-old 13 pound Chihuahua mix. She is fostered in the East San Francisco Bay Area.. She is free of parasites, spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. For adoption inquiries please email us at
[email protected], or fill out an application on our website at www.beourpet.org.
If you are looking for a sweet bundle of love, Nile is your girl. She loves to cuddle and snuggle under the covers with you at night. When you wake up in the morning, she will turn upside down for belly rubs. She's always happy, loves to give love and loves to be given attention right back.
Her favorite thing to do is play with her toys. She's will fetch the toys and bring them to you for more playtime. She has her favorites and her foster mom will be sure to send them with her when she's adopted. She's currently fostered with her sibling sister and theyget along really well together. However, they do not need to be adopted as a bonded pair.
When it comes to food, Nile will eat whatever you feed her. She loves any and all treats, as well. She's very good for car rides.
She has not had much exposure to other dogs and she does react like a lunatic. She will need someone with patience to help her overcoming her fear. She loves when there are visitors that stop by, but she can be nervous around loud and boisterous children. For this, we suggest she not be around younger children.
Her foster mom walks her daily and she is working on her outside manners. Potty training is going very well. Nile is about 75 percent trained to go out the doggy door. She will also use a potty pad if one is available.
She is a great reminder on trash day and will let the neighborhood know when the trash man is coming. Bird watching is her favorite outdoor activity. She will let the neighbors know when Seagulls have landed on your deck, too.
All in all, Nile is a very happy dog with a dynamic personality. On a scale of 1-10 she is an easy 10+. If you have the patience to help her be successful and overcome a few imperfections, Nile would make an amazing companion and family member.

Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5
Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.
Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet.
Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service.
We thank Well Pet Vet Clinic for providing most of our veterinary services and give a special thanks to volunteer photographers Tanya, Barbara, Kristy, Christine, Teressa and Natalie.
