Meet the LOVABLE Colgate Toothpaste.


Colgate is a 10 year old Chihuahua Mix. He's a VERY good boy who likes to spend most of his time near you. When he's not near you, he's on your lap or making contact with you in some other way. He really is a velcro dog. He likes lounging on the couch with you to binge on Netflix. He will sleep in a kennel after a bit of fussing but definitely appreciates sharing the big bed at night. He takes treats gently from your hands.


He walks very well on a leash, either by himself or with the other dog in the house. He is potty trained but will require training in any new home as to where you expect him to go at your house. He gets along with other dogs and people. He barks in new situations, but calms once he's assured all is well.

Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5
Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.
Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet.
