Wendy is the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side. She’s joined outings, group hikes, and even relaxed politely under the table at lunch—taking it all in stride. She rides well in the car, enjoys getting out and about, and has done great meeting people at adoption events. She can be a little shy at first with new people, but warms up quickly and shows her sweet, affectionate nature.Wendy was briefly adopted, but returned within 24 hours after being placed into a busy home with multiple dogs and cats immediately following her spay surgery. It was a lot for her all at once, and she did not have the opportunity to properly decompress or adjust.She is a favorite among her project person and the young interns at the shelter, who have spent time with her and can speak to her kind, easygoing personality. With a more thoughtful introduction and a little time to settle in, Wendy truly shines. She is ready for a fresh start with someone who will give her that chance and discover what a loving, loyal companion she is.
