Meet Luka — professional shadow, part-time lap dog, full-time sweetheart At 1 year , this Pit Bull mix is still figuring out the whole “shelter life” thing and everything is a little scary. Inside the shelter, he can be a little shy and sticks close—like, very close. Personal space? Never heard of it. But once you get him out into the play yard, Luka relaxes, his personality shines, and suddenly you’ve got a wiggly best friend who just wants to love on you. Luka is a certified leaner who will gently press into you for pets and attention—and if you sit down, don’t be surprised if he decides he’s actually a lap dog. Expect kisses, cuddles, and a very loyal sidekick who wants to be wherever you are.He seems very interested in other dogs through the fence, but as always, a meet & greet is recommended to make sure everyone vibes. Luka previously lived as an outside dog, so he’ll need a secure fence or would thrive as an indoor pup where he can be part of the family (his preferred job). He’d also benefit from a fun training class—he’s young, eager, and ready to learn (especially if snacks are involved, obviously). One note from his previous owner: Luka says “no thank you” to cats. If you’re looking for a sweet, slightly shy, very snuggly companion who will stick by your side (and possibly on your lap), Luka is ready to be your new best friend.
