Meet Baloo — 1 year, 4 months old, Pit Bull mix, part chaos, part cuddle, all toy enthusiast.Baloo is an easygoing guy to leash up, but don’t be surprised when he throws a little “do I have to go back to my kennel?” side-eye on the way in—he strongly prefers the outside program. This boy is absolutely obsessed with toys. He carries them everywhere, tosses them in the air, and happily puts on solo zoomie-and-toy performances like he’s got an audience. He’s energetic, playful, and always ready to turn any moment into a game. He also loves sniffing out tossed treats and making snack time into a full activity.Baloo is friendly, affectionate, and very people-focused. He’s treat motivated, knows “sit,” and has had obedience training. In fact, he was taught to sit before meals and takes treats gently like a polite gentleman. And when the play is done, he’s more than happy to switch gears and curl up for cuddles. He previously lived in a home and was surrendered when his owner had to move to an apartment, through no fault of his own. They reported that he is housebroken and crate trained, loves car rides, and rides well. He was described as a great family dog who did well with adults, children, and other dogs, and he doesn’t try to escape—he’s happiest staying close to his people. Baloo seems dog-friendly through the fence, though a meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good match. Because of his enthusiasm and occasional lack of body awareness (he may forget how big he is mid-zoom), he’d do best with older kids.If you’re looking for a goofy, toy-obsessed, cuddle-loving family dog with great basics and a big heart, Baloo is ready to make himself at home.
