Meet Olive – The Explorer With a Soft Side 1 Year Old • Australian Cattle Dog Mix • Part-Time Snuggler, Full-Time Investigator Olive came in with other dogs all the way from Gallup, but let’s just say she prefers her social circle a little less “WOOHOO PARTY!” and a little more “quiet coffee date.” The more boisterous pups can be a bit much for this thoughtful girl. She’s not anti-social — she just has refined taste in chaos levels. On the shy side? Yes. But also treat-motivated in a very polite, “why thank you, I shall accept this delicately” kind of way. She takes treats gently and seems to believe snacks are a very serious business. Olive is independent and curious, happiest when she’s sniffing out important investigative work in the yard. Every leaf, breeze, and mysterious scent must be thoroughly examined. She enjoys exploring at her own pace, checking in with her people between discoveries. And then… the magic moment. When you start petting her, she leans in, closes her eyes like she’s at a five-star spa, and just melts for a second. It’s sweet, quiet, and totally heart-melting — before she’s off again to continue her very important research. Olive is still building her confidence and would thrive in a patient home that lets her blossom at her own speed. With a little reassurance (and probably a steady supply of snacks), this gentle explorer is going to shine.
