Meet Fergus – Gentle Giant!Fergus is a 2-year-old neutered Great Dane who was sadly surrendered when a baby in his home turned out to be allergic — but don’t worry, he’s not bitter about it. He’s way too busy carrying plush toys around like emotional support stuffed animals. This gentle boy takes treats politely but honestly doesn’t care that much about food. What does motivate him? Walks. All the walks. Fergus loves getting out and about and has been steadily improving his leash manners since arriving at the shelter. He’s affectionate in that “leans his entire dinosaur body into you” kind of way and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give.His previous family reported that Fergus is housebroken, rides great in the car, has basic obedience, is friendly, and isn’t the type to test fences or make a run for it. He’s got a good foundation and would really shine with a training class to polish up his big-boy skills.
