Meet Jack — A Gentle Pup Ready to ShineJack is a sweet 10-month-old pit bull with a heart full of love. He came to the shelter with his brother, Billy, and continues to blossom every day as his confidence grows and he learns to trust the world around him. Recently, Jack enjoyed an overnight break from the shelter, which gave us a wonderful glimpse of who he truly is outside the kennel. His foster described him as a gentle, cuddly soul who quickly became a loyal shadow, always wanting to be near and soaking up affection once trust was established. In a home setting, Jack showed excellent manners. He is housetrained and politely let his foster know when he needed to go outside. He walked beautifully on leash and was curious and playful, especially enjoying floor play and time with his toys.Jack was also great with the foster’s cats—even though they weren’t very welcoming. He remained friendly, barking and attempting to engage them in play. Kennel stress doesn’t always show Jack at his best, but even at the shelter, once he was in a quiet visiting area and given time to warm up, his sweet personality shone through. He thrives with calm, patient guidance and is very treat-motivated, making training fun and rewarding. Jack is affectionate, loyal, and eager to bond with his person. He truly is the best boy and is ready to bring love, comfort, and joy to a forever home willing to give him the chance he deserves.
