There's something magical about Matilda-and we're pretty sure someone accidentally sprinkled a little extra spunk, silliness, and sparkle into this girl! ✨



Matilda is pure entertainment wrapped up in one adorable package. She has a talent for keeping everyone around her laughing, and her signature style of play is something you really have to see to believe. Imagine a pogo stick crossed with a trampoline…and then add four paws!



This girl doesn't just run when she's excited-she BOUNCES! Up, down, around and back again, Matilda approaches life like every day is the greatest adventure she's ever been invited on.



She's full of energy and always ready for fun, but even magical pups eventually run out of batteries. When Matilda finally powers down, you'll find her happily curled up in her bed, usually with a favorite toy tucked securely in her mouth, recharging for whatever tomorrow might bring.

If you are interested in her, please send an email to SCP! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to SCP for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Petco in Clear Lake at 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Since all our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please send an email to [email protected] so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if the dog will be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco. If you just want to meet some great dogs looking for their forever home, please come visit with us on Saturday! The adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $210 (or $270 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.
