Lucille

Lucille (Lucy) is a beautiful cat that is looking for a second chance to have a beautiful life that she deserves! She came to us through our spay/neuter program, she was scheduled to be returned to an overcrowded barn/shed/outside life, but luck was on her side that day as we had room for two adult cats to stay with us. Lucille and Loretta came to us that day, dirty and scared, but open to the opportunity. We were able to handle them and get them cleaned up, bathed, and do all the necessary "intake" items to start them on the way to better life. They came in the same day with a group of four kittens, not for the same place, or together, just at the same time. We were all added to a room together, so we could intake them on the same schedule. Lucille took to the kittens right away, she lays with them, grooms them, and you can even catch one of the kittens trying to nurse from Lucille (she is not lactating and nor is the kitten in need of nursing) but seems happy to take on the "mothering" role in the room. If you are looking for Lucy she will be in a bed or cubie with any number of kittens.

Lucille enjoys touch from humans as well. She will begin to purr you start to pet, just go slow at first until she realizes you are there to love her, after that she will sit with you all day. She is gorgeous! We know she will only become more beautiful once she has had a couple of weeks of good nutrition and a dry/safe bed. Lucille would enjoy a peaceful home, maybe one that included another cat, young or old, but one that would not mind some snuggle time. This is truly one of the most loving cats!
