Hi, I'm Jack ~ I may be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a short minute and I'll warm right up. I'm a true lap kitty at heart, though I'm just as happy curling up right next to you and relaxing. I love gentle pets and affection, and once I've gotten a few, I'll settle in contentedly just to be near my person.
I'm not much into toys or playtime - I'm more of a mellow, easygoing guy. I am very vocal when it's time for breakfast, though! I know the routine well, and when you start making coffee, I'll be sure to remind you it's my turn to eat. I'll also call out if I can't find you sometimes - it's my way of saying I'd like to be close for a few pets.
I found my way to safety after wandering up to a family in a rural area, where I quickly became friends with children ages 3 to 8. When the weather turned cold, I was brought inside and given the care I needed. After being fully vetted, we learned the cause of my limp, and thanks to Ruff Start, I'm getting surgery to fix my hip.
I'm a sweet, calm, loving boy who would be an amazing companion for a family looking for a gentle, affectionate kitty to share quiet moments and lots of love.
