Meet Marvin, a handsome and curious tabby who's ready to find his forever home! This sweet boy thrives on slow introductions, gentle patience, and a calm environment. Marvin can be a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe-and especially if a Churu or shredded wet food is involved-he quickly warms up and becomes your little shadow. He's very food motivated, and his loud purrs (often paired with adorable purr-meows) make it clear just how happy he is.
Marvin is a bit of a night owl, coming alive in the evenings with playful energy, while spending his days lounging, sunbathing, and keeping watch from his favorite window sills. He loves long string and feather toys, and when he's in a playful mood, he may wrestle your arm or go after moving feet. He also gives occasional love nibbles, something we're actively working on with him. When it's cuddle time, Marvin goes all in-he'll flop dramatically into your lap, stretch out for pets, chin scratches, butt pats, and happily rub and nudge you to show his affection ( see video ).
This curious guy loves to explore (basements are a favorite!) and is a huge fan of catnip-so much so that he'll happily bury his entire face in it if given the chance. Marvin has lived with other cats and enjoys their company, but will need slow introductions to new feline friends. He's also curious about dogs and does well with them once he gets to know them, especially if he has a high perch where he can feel safe and observe. Marvin does best with adults or calm, patient people who understand that new friendships take time.
If you're looking for a quiet, affectionate, low-shedding companion who will reward your patience with purrs, purr-meows, and sweet nudges, Marvin may be your perfect match (see video ). Contact us to meet this charming boy and help him learn his name-you won't regret it.
Marvin is from a stray surrender . If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats' emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of "Single Kitten Syndrome" (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten's most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
