Meet Richard
Richard is a 10-week-old Belgian Malinois / German Shepherd mix puppy with a big brain and an even bigger personality. He came to us from a local impound and has been busy ever since showing us just how smart and fun he is.
Richard is an active, high-energy guy who absolutely loves to play with other dogs. He thrives when he has something to do and is currently doing great with short, positive training sessions. He's already catching on quickly to basic cues and clearly enjoys learning and working with his people.
Like any young puppy, Richard is working on potty training and crate training. The crate isn't his favorite place yet, but he's young and improving every day. He's also learning the typical puppy routine: outside after naps, after meals, and lots of praise when he gets it right. He's even starting to sleep longer stretches at night.
Richard is a very intelligent breed mix, and with that intelligence comes energy and drive. He would do best with an adopter who understands working-type breeds or is excited about continuing his training and keeping his mind engaged. He's the kind of dog who will truly shine with structure, consistency, and fun outlets like advanced obedience, scent games, agility, or other interactive activities.
If you're looking for a playful, smart, busy puppy who will grow into an active and devoted companion, Richard might just be your guy.
Richard is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
