Hi, my name is Jasmine.
I came to my foster mom very pregnant and in need of a safe, quiet place to raise my babies. She gave me my own room so I could decompress and feel secure. About two weeks later, I gave birth to three beautiful baby girls. I was a very good mama, and on the day my kittens were spayed, they all received applications and were adopted. Now it's finally
my
turn to find a forever family.
I've been living with my foster family over the holidays, and while I've grown very comfortable here, I know I'm ready to move on and start my next chapter.
There are a few important things my forever family should know about me:
I am very shy at first and need time to decompress and warm up to a new home. Once I feel safe, my true personality comes out. I'm not a fan of car rides or vet visits, but I do love looking out the windows-and I have zero interest in leaving the house.
Before I became a mama, I lived with multiple cats and dogs, and I got along well with everyone. Kids make me nervous, so I'd do best in a home without them or with calm, cat-savvy children. I might look a little grumpy at times, but I promise it's just my shy face.
I love head scratches and pets more than anything. I'm not a big fan of being held, but I tolerate it for short moments-and I'll allow face kisses before politely asking to be done. Once I bond with you, I'll want to be near you all the time. I'm not a cuddler, but I'm happiest sitting right next to you or following you from room to room. I especially love my foster mom and keep a close eye on wherever she goes.
At night, I sleep in bed with my foster parents and do a great job staying at the foot of the bed. If I want attention, I'll gently poke you-just a little reminder that I'm there.
I tolerate nail trims (even if they aren't my favorite), and I prefer scratching posts over cardboard scratchers. My foster mom keeps one on almost every floor, which helps me behave-though I admit I slip up once in a while. I also use a Litter Robot without any issues.
I am very food motivated. I love my Churu treat every morning while my foster mom makes her coffee, dinner promptly at 6:00 PM, and a nightly lickable treat. I enjoy racing the resident cat to her automatic feeder when I hear the beep-so fun! My foster mom highly recommends one for my forever home. I like water fountains
and
bowls, so I'm easygoing that way.
My favorite toys are hair ties and my catnip banana (see
video
) which puts me into a silly meowing loop that's equal parts entertaining and annoying. I play with the resident cat every morning, racing up and down the stairs and zooming through the house so fast we bunch up the front rug-my foster mom fixes it daily.
One thing to note: I love staying close to my people and sometimes run right in front of their legs. My foster mom worries I might be a tripping hazard for someone unsteady on their feet, so a home where my humans are sure-footed would be best.
As hard as it is for my foster mom to say goodbye, we both know I'm meant to be someone's very special companion. If you give me the time and patience to warm up, I promise I'll show you just how loving, loyal, and fun I can be.
Once I know you, I'll stick by your side-and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
With love,
Jasmine
