Archie is gentle, playful, and eager to please-the kind of pup who watches your face to see if he's doing a good job. He's wonderful with everyone: cats, dogs, and kids included. In calmer settings, he truly shines. Big, busy rooms full of people can feel overwhelming for him right now, but with patience and reassurance, his confidence grows quickly.
Archie is one of seven puppies born outdoors to an unfixed stray in Texas. He came into rescue skinny, malnourished, and with little to no exposure to people. Because of that, he'll need intentional socialization and confidence-building as he grows-but the foundation is absolutely there. He wants to trust, wants to learn, and wants to be close to his people.
He's a sensitive little guy who cries when left alone and likes to talk when he's playing. Archie is going to make an incredible companion for someone who can offer consistency, kindness, and gentle guidance as he figures out the world.
If you're looking for a loving, loyal pup who just needs a bit of help realizing how safe and good life can be, Archie is ready to meet you.
Archibald, Archie to his friends, is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 02/20/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.
Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program.
