Meet Lucky Louie, a handsome and resilient fella with a heart of gold, just waiting for the right family to understand his unique charm! Louie is an active boy who thrives when his boundaries are respected and he's allowed to live life on his own terms.
He's not recommended for homes with young children who might not understand the importance of respecting his space. However, for a calm home with adults or older, respectful children, Louie could blossom beautifully. He loves to be close to his people, often choosing to hang out right by the action - like curled up near his foster mom's work desk - quietly enjoying your company.
Louie's love language is play! He adores wrestling with his kitty siblings and lights up for tube treats. While he's not overly cuddly yet, he has made wonderful progress in trusting his foster family, allowing pets and enjoying a good scratch behind the ear once he feels comfortable. New situations can be a bit overwhelming for Louie, so he's looking for a patient home that will give him the time and space he needs to build his confidence.
If you're looking for a companion who appreciates a quiet presence, respects personal space, and will reward your patience with playful antics and growing affection, Lucky Louie is your guy! Give this special boy the chance to show you just how much love he has to give.
Lucky is from a local rescue. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats' emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of "Single Kitten Syndrome" (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten's most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
