Meet Raphael
Raphael is a handsome, high-energy rescue kitty estimated to be around 5 years old. He's mostly white with brown tabby markings and absolutely striking big green eyes outlined in black-they look like he's wearing eyeliner at all times.
Raphael came to us from a local impound, and he's been showing us more of his personality every day. He's an active guy who would much rather have a home with space to run, explore, and burn off energy than a quiet condo setup. One of his favorite pastimes is zooming around and rubbing his scent on everything to make sure the whole place is clearly his.
When it comes to other animals, Raphael prefers things slow and respectful. Slow introductions are recommended. He was also unsure about a dog that approached his condo and gave a quick swat to say, "Hey, back off." Clear communication is kind of his thing.
Raphael can have mixed feelings when he's in high-energy mode, so he'll do best with someone who understands cat body language and can give him space when needed. He also has a quirky habit of balancing on the corner of his litter box with all four paws, which sometimes led to tipping it over. A high-sided litter box has helped and is working much better. Maybe he could be toilet trained????
Overall, Raphael is a bold, curious, and entertaining cat who's ready for a home that matches his energy and gives him room to thrive. If you're looking for a cat with personality, presence, and a little bit of sass, Raphael might be your guy.
