Prince is a sweet, easygoing boy who loves his walks and spending time outdoors. He's a smart pup who already knows several commands and is eager to please-especially when treats are involved. Prince has been working through levels one and two training, where he's learning skills like an extended sit, touch, lay down, loose-leash walking, impulse control, leave it, and place. He's also continuing to practice staying neutral when walking around other dogs.
He does well in a kennel but can also relax nicely on his own in the house, showing good manners when given independence. When left alone, Prince mostly naps on the couch and settles easily. He currently can be left unsupervised with the resident cat, which he's done well with.
On leash, Prince walks nicely most of the time and does not react negatively to other dogs while out and about. In a home setting, he can struggle a bit with reading dog social cues, so he would do best as an only dog, with structured and controlled interactions outside the home.
Prince is learning that cats can be fun companions and plays well with his foster's cat. He would thrive with a confident, playful, dog-savvy kitty, though slow and thoughtful introductions are still important with any new feline friend.
Prince is not currently living in a home with children. He has done well around kids at events and is very gentle when taking treats, showing good manners and a sweet nature. As a large dog, he can occasionally be a bit unaware of his size and body, so supervision and continued guidance would be important in a home with kids.
While he isn't overly high-energy, Prince loves having a yard where he can sprint and let loose-he's lightning-fast when the zoomies hit. His favorite toy is a ball, and he's happy playing fetch or proudly carrying it around. One especially endearing thing about Prince is his love for making cozy "nests" out of blankets and pillows, where he curls up contentedly for rest time.
