Hudson is sweet, loving, and playful, with a happy balance of energy and calm. He enjoys playtime but is just as content being near his person, making him a wonderful everyday companion. He already has basic training, is very smart, and learns quickly-he genuinely enjoys figuring things out.
Hudson is great at communicating his needs and will come let you know when he wants to sit with you. At the end of the day, he's a true bedtime cuddler, happiest curled up and close. He would do best in a home with older kids-school-aged children would likely be just fine-while toddlers may be a bit much for him.
He'd also thrive with a companion dog of similar energy, someone to play with and share daily life. With his affectionate nature and eagerness to learn, Hudson is ready to be a loyal, loving addition to the right family.

Hudson is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 2/20/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
