About This Dog
What WeRescue Scout knows about Rosie
Rosie needs a committed, patient adopter who can spend most of their time at home helping her build confidence and learn to trust in a home environment—ideally someone without young children and with experience helping unsocialized dogs. A home with a calm, socialized dog sibling would help her acclimate more easily.
- Not suitable for homes with young children; has had no exposure to kids and reaction is unknown.
- Not housetrained; will require significant house and leash training from scratch.
- Requires adopter able to spend majority of time at home for socialization and training.
- Timid temperament; needs to be cornered to be picked up; not suitable for people with physical disabilities or PTSD.
WeRescue Scout summarized this from the shelter's original listing and may include estimates. Please contact Breeder Release Adoption Service to confirm any details before adopting.

About Rosie
Breeder Release Adoption Service
ShelterOur organization is dedicated to finding perfect adoptive homes for dogs that breeders are retiring or cannot sell. We work primarily with Yorkshire Terriers and Yorkie mixes, King Charles Cavalier Spaniels and an occasional other small breed. Our foster space is limited to 15 to 20 dogs a month with new arrivals monthly.
All of the dogs are spayed/neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and dentals done as needed.
We have been rescuing Yorkies for several years and with a small team of dedicated volunteers and a wonderful veterinary team, we have placed over 400 dogs in their forever homes.
We strive to place our rescued dogs in the perfect home for each individual dog. If a home visit is not possible, we will ask you to send pictures of where the dog will live, sleep and play. Yorkies can, and usually do become aggressive with small children so we do not place them in homes with children under 10 years old. They are companion animals and have been denied that human companionship while in the breeding programs so we want them to become the center of their new parent’s world and usually require a stay at home parent.
King Charles Cavaliers are more relaxed with children but they will be placed on a case by case basis if there are children in the home.
We require an application which we will email to you and an adoption contract at the time of adoption.
