What WeRescue Scout knows about GiGi

GiGi does best as the only dog in the home, or with a family willing to adopt her bonded companion KoKo. She is shy but friendly with people, and would thrive in a stable home where she can settle in after her shelter stay.

Good to know
  • Not safe with other dogs when together with her bonded companion; should be adopted alone or only with KoKo, and without other pets in the home
  • May need housetraining reinforcement after shelter stay

Adoption Process
Before meeting with a dog, a pre-adoption application must be completed. After the application is approved, a meeting is arranged between the adopter and the pet. An adoption contract is signed, adoption fee paid (generally $350), and the dog is able to go to the new home once all medical care is given. Dogs are fully vetted, including vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm test, deworming, dental if needed, and other procedured needed by the particular dog. Adopters are required to return the dog to us if they are unable or unwilling to care for the dog in the future.
